With my camera, I freeze images in an attempt to move the viewer to see what is in the photograph, but also to see what is not there, to evoke a feeling, a memory, or a personal dream previously hidden. My subjects range front the animate to inanimate. They are the people, places and things around me. The one constant in my photography is the desire to have light and composition merge so that the ordinary is lifted to the extraordinary.

Originally from Arizona, I enjoy revisiting the Southwest, photographing in Florida where I now live and documenting my trips abroad. "Black and White" magazine and the International Photography Awards have selected my photographs for recognition. I hold an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College, received a MacDowell Colony Fellowship, and have published poems and short stories. I studied photography with Jack Wild at the Delray Beach Center for the Arts.
